About this event

Tara is a female enlightened being, a manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all the Buddhas. During this special event, Gen Kelsang Cho will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Tara and give commentary to her meditation practice Liberation from Sorrow.

The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a connection to Tara and through this we will receive her continual blessings and help. We will draw closer to her and develop a special feeling that we have an enlightened mother who is protecting us, giving us whatever we need and guiding us as we learn and develop spiritually.

If we rely upon Green Tara sincerely she will protect us from all obstacles and fulfil all our wishes. Since she is a wisdom Buddha, and since she is a manifestation of the completely purified wind element, Tara is able to help us very quickly.

Gen Kelsang Cho is our acting principal teacher and Resident Teacher of KMC Rome. He has been practising for over 20 years under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. His clear and joyful teachings are an inspiration to all.
