The purpose of meditation is to make the mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness.

Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Glasgow was established to provide people in Glasgow and the surrounding areas with the opportunity to learn how to meditate and practice Buddha’s teachings. To fulfil this aim we opened our new city temple in 2013, a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City.

Meditation for Teens
Our Meditation for Teens class is aimed at those 12-16 and aims to provide you with tools for dealing with stress, anxiety, and problems - overcoming negative states of mind such as anger and jealousy, and cultivating positive minds such as patience and compassion.
Sundays 3 - 4pm
£15 for 3 weeks
Sunday Evening Meditations for World Peace – Free
Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible. Learn how to develop these inner causes for peace in the world. With guided meditation, teachings on love inspired by the book The New Eight Steps to Happiness, and beautiful chanted prayers. Everyone is welcome.
Sundays 5.30-6.45pm
Tuesday Evening Class
Learn how to meditate with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Tubchen. Each class focuses on a different topic that can be used to solve our inner problems and find happiness in our daily life. Includes two guided meditations. Everyone is welcome.
Tuesdays 7 - 8.15pm
