The purpose of meditation is to make the mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness.
Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Glasgow was established to provide people in Glasgow and the surrounding areas with the opportunity to learn how to meditate and practice Buddha’s teachings. To fulfil this aim we opened our new city temple in 2013, a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City.

Receive the healing balm of the purifying blessings of Buddha Vajrasattva, the manifestation of the completely pure mind of all the Buddhas. Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Drolkyi will grant this beautiful empowerment and give commentary to the practice of meditation and recitation of Buddha Vajrasattva, a powerful method for purifying the negativity in our mind that gives rise to our suffering.
Take half an hour out to cultivate inner peace and enjoy the rest of the day with an inspired and positive mind. These 30 minute classes combine guided meditations with a ‘thought for the day’ on practical methods of how to stay happy and positive through the challenges of modern life.
