The purpose of meditation is to make the mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness.
Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Glasgow was established to provide people in Glasgow and the surrounding areas with the opportunity to learn how to meditate and practice Buddha’s teachings. To fulfil this aim we opened our new city temple in 2013, a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City.

Our courses, retreats and special events provide the opportunity to explore a particular topic in more depth, socialise with like minded individuals and enjoy the happy and nurturing KMC Glasgow community.
We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence. The teachings in this series will help us to live a happy and meaningful life, prepare for our death and also help others who are dying.
On this 3 week course with Gen Osung, learn to replace negative mental patterns that keep us compulsively engaging in negative behaviours with positive ones that bring real mental peace, freedom, integrity and confidence. Everyone is welcome.
