Becoming The Person You Want To Be

Learn meditation techniques that enable you to improve yourself step by step towards being the happy, relaxed person you really want to be. We can do this using Buddha’s teachings and meditations as well as the power of our own imagination. Learning to let go of insecurity, anxiety and stress – we can instead connect with an innate potential for happiness, peace and mental freedom. Through experiencing the power of deep inner transformation through meditation and training each day, we can then take our life and relationships in a very positive and enjoyable direction.
The Concentration Course

We are living in an age of distraction, where everyone is accustomed to constant stimulation and mental busyness, and it is very rare to enjoy even a moment of inner stillness.
What would it be like to not be distracted, and to be able to focus our mind on whatever we wish, for as long as we want?
With this course, you will learn how to access profound inner stillness through engaging in a systematic training that increases your concentration. Pure concentration causes our mind to attain a tranquil state, free from distractions, able to stay focused with power and clarity. These techniques can create a strong foundation for a successful daily meditation practice and give us confidence to carry this tranquillity and focus into our daily life.
This course is a perfect preparation for the 5 day silent Stillness Within retreat on Inchmurrin Island. On the retreat we will have the opportunity to put the instructions deeply into practice, to deepen our concentration and taste the bliss of suppleness.

Who are these classes for?
Our meditation classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or belief. They are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice. Everyone is invited to use whichever aspects of the teachings they find helpful and to not worry about the rest!
What will I gain from these classes?
The classes will allow you to unwind your mind and return home relaxed and refreshed. They will provide you with new tools for dealing with stress, anxiety, and problems. They will also help you to overcome negative states of mind such as anger and jealousy, and to cultivate positive minds such as patience and love.
