How to Stop Overthinking!

Let’s be clear. Thinking is necessary. We need to think, reflect, understand, know, make decisions etc. However, sometimes our thinking becomes circular, negative, stuck or unclear. We have a tendency to overthink things, and to find it hard to ‘switch off’ which can be exhausting and unproductive.
Buddha’s teachings on the mind can help us to remain balanced, calm and clear as we navigate our busy modern world with all its stress and stimulation.
In this series of classes, you will gain a practical understanding of your mind and learn methods and meditations to gain clarity and mental freedom.

Almost everyone experiences at some time the feeling of loneliness. Even if we have family, friends, and other good conditions, we can still feel isolated or misunderstood and suffer from loneliness; yearning to feel a deeper sense of connection with others. At times the weight of loneliness can feel immense and difficult to overcome.
Using Buddhist teachings and meditations, we can heal our feelings of loneliness by recognizing that the perception of ourselves as separate from others is an illusion. In truth, we are all naturally and profoundly interconnected. By learning to understand and feel this connection we will reduce our sense of isolation. In this way we can allow a natural closeness and authentic love for others to arise even if we find ourselves at times physically alone.

Who are these classes for?
Our meditation classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or belief. They are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice. Everyone is invited to use whichever aspects of the teachings they find helpful and to not worry about the rest!
What will I gain from these classes?
The classes will allow you to unwind your mind and return home relaxed and refreshed. They will provide you with new tools for dealing with stress, anxiety, and problems. They will also help you to overcome negative states of mind such as anger and jealousy, and to cultivate positive minds such as patience and love.
The talks and guided meditations will provide you with the foundation for developing a powerful meditation practice. A regular meditation practice has many benefits:
