Finding Balance | Nov 8, 15, 22, 29

This course explains how to find inner enjoyment and balance using meditation, which is important because it allows us to deal comfortably with changes in people and circumstances around us. Often our mind is difficult to control and our thoughts are blown here and there like a balloon. By training in these meditations we develop an inner space and clarity that enables us to develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is always happy despite the ever-changing circumstances of our life.

Dealing with Difficult People | Dec 6, 13, 20

Dealing with people is such a big part of our lives. So, what happens when we find others difficult to live or work with? So often our priorities differ, our opinions clash, conflicts can build, and we can feel like another person is making us stressed and miserable.

Dealing with those whom we perceive as difficult becomes an amazing opportunity to transform adverse conditions into our own spiritual development. Through meditation we can learn how to keep our cool and respond in a more constructive and balanced way. Tension lifts and a relaxed confidence arises in its place.

About the teacher

Jenny is a sincere practitioner of Kadampa Buddhism and studies on our Teacher Training Programme. She is also a retired head of expressive arts and secondary school teacher. Jenny has a deep appreciation for the transforming power of meditation and teaches with joyful clarity.

Who are these classes for?

Our meditation classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or belief. They are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice. Everyone is invited to use whichever aspects of the teachings they find helpful and to not worry about the rest!
