On this course we will discuss what mental health and meditation are, where our happiness and problems come from, learn simple meditation techniques, and consider how meditation can help us unlock our potential. All day we have so many thoughts crowding our mind that when we try to meditate it is hard to let go of these thoughts and be peaceful. On this course we will learn to rely on the practices of mindfulness and alertness to guard and protect our mind so that disturbing thoughts cannot arise. By controlling our mind in this way, we will be able to make progress towards experiencing the deep calm and stillness that we long for.
