Scottish Dharma Celebration 2025 ~ Heal Your Mind, Heal Your World
Friday 28th – Sunday 30th March 2025
Information
Medicine Buddha Empowerment & teachings on How to Solve Our Human Problems
Join us for this inspirational weekend with international guest teacher, Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
The Scottish Dharma Celebration is an annual opportunity for people to gather together with spiritual friends to receive inspiration and teachings; enjoying a weekend which will leave you feeling relaxed and spiritually re-energised. During this special event, Kadam Bridget will grant the blessing empowerment of Medicine Buddha and give teachings on how to solve our human problems.
Medicine Buddha is a Buddha Doctor whose function is to release us from physical and mental disease. By relying on him we will receive a special power on our body and mind through which we can heal our own outer and inner sickness and also help others through engaging in healing actions.
This practice is especially powerful at this time for pacifying problems and dangers, and for bringing peace to our world.
An empowerment is a beautiful guided meditation through which we can make a deep connection with Medicine Buddha and his pure enlightened world.
Teacher
The weekend will be led principally by international meditation teacher, Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Kadam Bridget is a senior student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that are easy to practise and integrate into daily life.
As a mother of two, she has a special insight into how to bring Buddhism alive to meet the demands of a busy modern life. Kadam Bridget shows an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
