Scottish Dharma Celebration 2026 ~ The Path to Heaven
Friday 27th – Sunday 29th March
Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Green Tara and Teachings on Transference of Consciousness Practice
For the first time in many years the Scottish Dharma Celebration will be held in Edinburgh, at Kadampa Meditation Centre at the heart of vibrant Leith.
During this very special weekend, Kadam Bridget Heyes will grant the blessing empowerment of Green Tara, which is a very special blessing and guided meditation to connect us with the female Buddha of wisdom.  She will give teachings on how to use the rare and extraordinary Tara Transference of Consciousness practice at the time of our own or other’s deaths.  This practice is only shared in the context of Dharma Celebrations so it is a precious opportunity to be introduced to this profound practice.
Kadam Bridget will also give practical and insightful teachings on the power of following the Buddhist path to alleviate the fears and anxieties we all experience every day.
Altogether the Scottish Dharma Celebration is a unique opportunity for meditation practitioners from across Scotland to enjoy a feast of Dharma teachings and practice together and to make strong spiritual connections with each other. Â Everyone is welcome to come along regardless of your level of experience, to receive inspiration and enjoy a special weekend which will leave you feeling relaxed and spiritually re-energised.
Teacher
The weekend will be led principally by international meditation teacher, Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Kadam Bridget Heyes is a senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and has been practising Modern Kadampa Buddhism for over 35 years. Kadam Bridget is the principal teacher at Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in North Hants. In 2009, Kadam Bridget was also elected as the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director of the UK.
