About these classes

In this final series of the year, we will be looking at the ways we can bring the wisdom of Buddha’s teachings into our daily lives. Each class will explore through meditation and readings, the qualities of mind that lead to happiness, to harmony in our relationships, to an enlightened state of mind, and ultimately a meaningful life. These qualities are referred to as the Six Perfections and are rooted in the supremely good heart of compassion. Come and enjoy a beautiful end to a difficult year!

The course is based on How to Understand the Mind, a practical guide that offers deep insights into the nature and functions of the mind. It explains how to develop and maintain a light and positive mind through recognising and abandoning states of mind that harm us, and replacing them with peaceful and beneficial ones. It concludes with a detailed explanation of meditation, showing how by controlling and transforming our mind we can attain a lasting state of joy, independent of external conditions.
