The Modern Day Yogi
Sunday 4 September
With Arthur Calnan
About this course
In olden times, a meditation Yogi could choose a quiet and remote place to live. There, in tranquility, they could deepen their meditational practice with few distractions.
For us, in our modern world, we can understand the benefits of, and may wish for, a deep meditation practice and a simple life, however our external circumstances often seem to work against this aspiration. We often feel bombarded and overwhelmed by stimulation, media/social media, and the demands of work and family.
In this course we will explore what meditation is, how we can establish and maintain a deep meditation practice, and how we can actually use the challenges and pleasures of our modern world as a means of deepening this practice, both in formal meditation, and in daily life.
Everyone is welcome!
