Tara Retreat | Dec 8
December 8 @ 10:00 am - December 9 @ 7:30 am
Tara Retreat Day
Teaching & Chanted Prayers (followed by 24 hour retreat)
About the Retreat
Tara is an enlightened Buddha, and her name means ‘Rescuer.’ She is considered the Spiritual Mother of all the Buddhas. There are many accounts of Tara protecting and averting dangers and obstacles, and even today people who rely sincerely upon her will definitely receive her guidance, care and protection. Tara is a wisdom Buddha, and because she is a manifestation of the completely purified wind element, she is able to help us very quickly!
Gen Tubchen will give an introductory teaching about the prayers to Arya Tara which are known as “Liberation from Sorrow”. Everyone is welcome to join us for one or more of these beautiful chanted prayer and meditation sessions, which will continue over 24 hours.
