About this course

Feeling happier through the power of our thoughts

It’s easy to live life in a passive way, feeling like situations and experiences simply happen to us. This can lead to discouragement and disempowerment, and a sense that our lives cannot change or improve.

According to Buddha however, all our experiences depend upon two important functions of the mind: discrimination, which distinguishes between one object and another, and feeling, which experiences objects as pleasant, unpleasant or neutral.

During this practical course, we will learn how to apply effective methods to respond to what happens to us in a way that improves our mental wellbeing and subsequently the way we experience the world around us.

We are delighted to welcome Gen Kelsang Wangmo, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh to teach this uplifting course!
