Refuge from the Storm

Sunday 22 November Online

With Arthur Calnan

About this course

Our objects of refuge are what we turn to in our bid to relieve our suffering.

We seek refuge because we need protection from our suffering and problems, from the very small to the all encompassing… indeed It can sometimes feel like we’re in the midst of a storm trying to find shelter from life’s deluges.

Sometimes the things we turn to help a little, sometimes however, they seem to cause more problems!

So we need to find non-deceptive objects of refuge.

The word for Buddha’s teachings, Dharma, actually means protection. It is the medicine that soothes our mental torment. The source of that protection is Buddha whose mind is like an ocean of peace for all beings.

On this course learn how to take refuge in the inner practices and states of mind that give us real and lasting protection from all the storms of our life.

Everyone is welcome!
