About the Event
Join us for delicious vegetarian canapes and non-alcoholic drinks and be guided in a reflective and uplifting candle lit meditation with Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Tubchen. Before midnight we will engage in beautiful chanted prayers to Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, and see in the New Year with a powerful mantra dedicated to world peace.

About the Teacher
Gen Kelsang Tubchen is the Resident Teacher at KMC Glasgow. She is the former Resident Teacher of Nordic Kadampa Meditation Centre in Norway and former National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition in the Nordic region.
Gen Tubchen has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for many years, and in 2003 ordained as a Buddhist nun. An inspiring and gifted teacher, she is loved for her clear, powerful and practical teachings and her deep experience of retreat.
